 For travelling Americans the prohibitive factor for a long distance travel is the cost of travelling compounded with the time to travel itself. Means that most Americans will only visit the western hemisphere and will not venture further.

You are travelling from America and if I was travelling from there I would hate another transit point. A direct flight would be most appropriate. By having a direct flight we accomplish our second objective. Leaving time to enjoy the location.
