Other noteable events are “Sound of Seychelles”, a musical show and dance performance; full-length plays with local story telling and poems; and a “Gourmet Evening” where you can feast on the gastronomic creations of ten selected chefs from local hotels.
This event organised by the National Arts Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Arts Culture & Sports seeks to encourage creative expression and participation for all, through the provision of practical activities, exhibitions, performances, forums, and workshops.
It also aims to facilitate and promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the contemporary arts through the provision of access, information and discussion and, as such, may be seen as a showcase of the contemporary Seychelles’ arts scene. The Festival acknowledges the contribution of the contemporary arts to society and plans to recognise individual or group achievements of artists through the distribution of merited awards later in the year.
