Three crewmembers from last year will comprise the Drive team, (drive is a kreol word meaning – being carried by the current.) whereas there will be four STB staff members. Next year, (2009) will be much of surprises, with talk of extending the race to the Amirantes group of islands and the possibility of more participants. It will surely be something to look forward to.
This year opening ceremony was held at Eden Island. The major venues of competition include Port Launay, Baie St Anne Praslin, Curieuse, La Digue, Grande Soeur and Felicite. The closing ceremony was held at Paradise Sun Hotel, Praslin.
